We are a (group) of artists who have a common aim; we want to make art-making more exciting and more accessible to all people in our community.

We want to facilitate art-making by encouraging creativity, whilst also teaching new skills. Art is beneficial and it can be used as a tool for learning and discovery. Our mission is to add to and to expand the variety of art that is available and to raise the standard of the experience of art within formal primary and secondary education, and in the wider community.

Week 4 - Ceramics

This week we had a guest artist/teacher Helen Muir teaching the children how to hand build. They were shown how to make a simple 4 legged animal, a pinch pot, a toothbrush holder, or a tile. Some children made all 4, whilst others took a long time perfecting every detail. Others had their own strong ideas of what they wanted to make, so they did!
