We are a (group) of artists who have a common aim; we want to make art-making more exciting and more accessible to all people in our community.

We want to facilitate art-making by encouraging creativity, whilst also teaching new skills. Art is beneficial and it can be used as a tool for learning and discovery. Our mission is to add to and to expand the variety of art that is available and to raise the standard of the experience of art within formal primary and secondary education, and in the wider community.

Week 5 - Big Painting

BIG Paintings!!! We looked at landscape paintings and talked about their meaning, and different types of landscape paintings -from hills to forests to seascapes and cliffs. We talked about a background, a middle ground and a foreground, and attempted to make the children aware of composition. We looked at adding texture with tissue paper and also with collage and soft pastels to add detail at the end. The final results were stunning!!! Well done to those of you who took part!
